Women's Weekend 2023

Ladies, you are invited to connect with the women of The River as we celebrate another Women’s Weekend. Women’s Weekend is a time to surround yourself with a group of women who are full of joy, life & God’s Holy Spirit. You will leave each event with a heart full of God’s Grace. It’s a moment for you to take the time to build your relationship with the women of this congregation.

One reason we love this weekend event is because it is customizable. You are able to participate in all of the events or just one. It’s up to you, but we encourage you to make the time to be part of what God is doing in this church family. Did we mention that this weekend will cost you $0??

Women’s Weekend takes place on September 22, 23, & 24.

The weekend’s schedule is as follows:

Friday, September 22: Girls Night In & Slumber party 6-9:30

We’ve rented a local Air BNB cottage in a unique & secluded setting with breathtaking views! On September 22, from 6-9:30, our evening will include preparing and sharing a meal together, relaxation, a look into what God’s Word is saying to us and WHOLE BUNCH  OF TALKING. Rose Edwards will be bringing a Fireside devotion and we will worship together. Do you want to make this weekend a mini getaway?? Don’t leave at 9:30. Stay with us for a TRWM SLUMBER PARTY! Bring your overnight bag, pillows and blankets, along  with all your necessities and continue the fun with us overnight.

Saturday, September 23: Donuts & Devotional 10A-12P

Join us at 10A at the cottage and gather around the table again for breakfast and God’s Word. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the back porch & settle into God’s Word with Brandy Henderson. At noon we will pack up and head into town (Potosi), and stroll the downtown  area. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL. After we have experienced all we can in Potosi, we will head to Caledonia & enjoy the village mercantile for one final hurrah!

Sunday, September 24: Sisterhood Sunday

Something that is so remarkable about the family at The River is that we get the privilege of learning from both the men & women from our congregation who use their gifts to edify the body of Christ. On Sisterhood Sunday, we will be hearing from five different   women as we  experience, “5 Minutes of Faith.” 5 ladies giving a 5 minute testimony teaching!

Guest Worship Leader, Jamie Drye will be ministering to us. You don’t want to miss this special Sunday Service!
